[ARCHIVED] Town of Sandwich - COVID 19 Command Team

Thank you to everyone in our community for patience, calm and continued commitment to social distancing.

Effective 4:30 PM Monday, March 16thALL Town Buildings will be Closed to the Public until Monday, April 6th or until further guidance is issued by the Town of Sandwich COVID 19 Command Team.  This closure includes but is not limited to the Human Services Building, Public Library, Oak Crest Cove, Sandwich Hollows Golf Course, Sandwich Marina, Town Hall, Town Hall Annex, and all services at 16 Jan Sebastian Drive.  Town staff will remain available to support business operations electronically or by phone. Please find a brief listing of modified operations below. For detailed information about the operations of each department please see departmental webpages www.sandwichmass.org.

You can help by practicing social distancing and continuing preventative measures. We encourage residents to continue to take steps to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 respiratory virus by:

  • Staying home if you are sick.
  • Sustaining Social Distance
  • Washing your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds
  • Covering your coughs and sneezes

If you would like to help by making a donation to the Council on Aging to assist seniors with food or prescription insecurity, please send a check to made payable to the: Council on Aging, COVID 19 response,                  Mail to - 270 Quaker Meetinghouse Road, East Sandwich, MA 02537

Please reach out to your elderly neighbors and others who may be in need.

Town of Sandwich Modified Operations in support of social distancing policy 

The Sandwich Transfer Station will be remain open to those with stickers only. As always, blue bags are required.             

No – Special Item Disposal, No Commercial Haulers https://www.sandwichmass.org/217/Transfer-Station

Inspectional Services. Applications for Inspections will be accepted electronically. Most outdoor inspections will continue. Where possible, inspections may be deferred to a date and time in the future. Interior inspections such as plumbing, electrical, etc. may be substituted with photographs at the inspector’s discretion. Annual Certificates of Inspection will be placed on hold for now. https://www.sandwichmass.org/201/Building-Department

Sandwich Hollows Golf Course.  The Clubhouse will be closed.   Golfers will be allowed by credit card payment online or by phone only.  All Tee Times will be made through the GolfNow electronic tee sheet.  Golf carts will be washed by pressure washer after every use and steering area will be wiped with disinfectant. http://www.sandwichhollows.com/
