The Town of Sandwich Board of Health and Health Department have received complaints about social distancing at supermarkets in Sandwich, specifically regarding Stop & Shop.  Patrons have observed controls at other regional markets including controlled lines inside and outside the store, other social distancing and sanitary methods and have inquired if our local grocery stores are in compliance with emergency health regulations required by Governor Baker’s Order. The Health Department is monitoring  all markets and stores in Sandwich and the Health Department can confirm that Sandwich grocery stores and markets are meeting or exceeding the  40% occupancy and physical distancing requirements of the Governor’s Order. The Health Department has been and will continue to monitoring for compliance.
