The Town of Sandwich is now accepting proposals for the purchase of 4 Water Street, the Deacon Eldred House. The Town will give preference to those applications which intend to maintain the property as a residence and who demonstrate a commitment to preserve, restore and rehabilitate the building in strict accordance with the U.S. Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Structures. Any proposed additions to the property will be subject to the same standards.
