Town officials are hoping to enlist residents and visitors as “plank detectives” this summer to speed the process of returning 455 detached Boardwalk boards to the original donors. A comprehensive numbered list of those planks and any legible lettering can be found here, and will be placed on the town website here. 

Residents and visitors are encouraged to scan the entries, perhaps recognize their own planks or provide additional information that leads to a match for others. Successful plank detectives should email the number of the board and contact information to: boardwalk@sandwichmass.org. Only when a match is made will Town officials will be in touch to arrange a pickup date.
