Storm Surge: A Threat to Life and Property

Storm water rising above sea level, also known as a Storm Surge.

Storm surge is one of the largest threats to life and property during a hurricane. Understanding storm surge can save your life. “Storm surge is an abnormal rise of water generated by a storm over and above the predicted astronomical tide”, Storm surge is what creates the flooding that is experienced every time a significant storm comes to town.
